Spin 4 Equality
Starts: September 8, 2012 @ 10:00 am
Ends: September 8, 2012 @ 12:00 pm
Place: 26th Street Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
What: Spin4equality is a Spinning Fundraiser benefiting Vision for Equality made possible by The Sporting Club at the Bellevue. This unique event has never taken place in the Philadelphia area until now. Local athletes, businesses, politicians and their family members will be participating in the event.
How: Sign up for a bike on www.VisionforEquality.org. Raise a minimum of $250 and one of the spinning bikes will be yours for two hours on the Art Museum Steps. Is two hours too much? Share the bike with a friend. Do you want to turn it into a team building event for your company, sign up for up to 10 bikes.
Hannah Purbe, Fitness Director and Spinning Instructor at The Sporting Club at the Bellevue will instruct the ride, and live D.J., Airen Luxe, will provide additional motivation.
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the fantastic views of Philadelphia from the top of the Art Museum Steps, while being a champion for people with disabilities and autism.
When: September 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Why: This event will support Vision for Equality in its efforts to help the over 16,000 people with autism, and other disabilities in Pennsylvania who receive no help or guidance enabling them to be a part of the community. Unless we provide alternative solutions, many of these people will have no options but to be separated from their families and friends, uprooted from their community , and moved to an institution miles away from home, or end up homeless on the street.
