REFORMER COMBO CLASSES are small group Pilates Equipment classes which will vary from class as well as from teacher to teacher so you will constantly be challenging yourself with each experience. With a consistent practice, you will get to utilize all of the equipment such as Reformers, Wunda Chairs, Towels, Spine Correctors, Magic Circles, and Mat so you will be sure to get the full benefits of the method and work that mind and body! With a commitment to the work, you will see your body change. Along with improving your posture and body alignment, your muscles will be lengthened and strengthened and in general, most people end up eating healthier, living healthier, and just all around feeling great!  So join us at Centerpoint Pilates and get started on your path to a better you!

All classes and sessions are 55 minutes in length and subject to change.

  • Pre-registration is required for all classes
  • Please cancel within 24 hours prior to class/session to avoid being charged
  • Please wear form-fitting clothing and have hair pulled off of neck
  • Bare feet or toe sox suggested

Pilates Instructors

Margie Foley, the owner of Centerpoint Pilates, is certified through the Pilates Method Alliance, Physicalmind, and the Ron Fletcher Program of Study. After studying dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Margie graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has studied at Jacob’s Pillow, the American Dance Festival, the Martha Graham School of Dance, and with various choreographers throughout the country. Margie has taught Pilates and movement for over 20 years and loves helping people to move better and literally change their bodies. She is a facilitator for the Ron Fletcher Program of Study, and is proud to run the only Fletcher Pilates® teacher training prep school in Philadelphia. Along with Pilates, she is a certified Yamuna Body Rolling practitioner and a Reiki master.

Fania Maria Tsakalakos (Fania de Grecia) is originally from Athens, Greece.  She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Smith College and a BFA in Dance and Psychology from Rutgers University. Fania begins the art of teaching on the fundamental premise that in order for one to embody versatility, one must have a varied repertoire of breathing techniques available.  With over ten years of movement teaching experience, Fania has taught in Istanbul, Barcelona, Athens, New York City, Northhampton and Philadelphia.

Hawley Rowe – As a child, Hawley spent countless hours in the dance studio, and eventually trained hard enough to become a professional ballet dancer.  Ballet brought her to Philadelphia, and she spent ten years as a company member of the Pennsylvania Ballet.  During her tenure with the company Hawley discovered Pilates, and it was love at first roll up.  After her retirement from the ballet she trained and became certified as a classical Pilates instructor at Core Pilates NYC.  Currently, she trains clients in private, group and mat classes at The Sporting Club at The Bellevue.  She loves Pilates and hopes to instill that love in the people she exposes to the method.

Megan Armitage, originally from Vermont, came to Philadelphia as a classically trained dancer. After two years of studying PILATES as a modern dancer, Megan became a certified as an PILATES instructor in 2002. She aims to provide her clients with knowledgeable and comprehensive training with a focus on technique and progression. From the PhysicalMind Institute, Megan is a fully certified PILATES Instructor on Equipment, Standing, and Classical Mat and Active Isolated Stretching at Wharton Performance.

Katrinka Kocourek received her training 13 years ago through Balanced Body, Stott and Leslie Bender. Ms. Kocourek  a dancer and choreographer used Pilates as a part of her dance training long before she was certified. Katrinka graduated with a Bachelor ‘s in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  Ms. Kocourek has performed with Joffery Ballet, Moscow Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Ballet Omaha and others. Katrinka continues her career as a dancer/teacher and choreographer while incorporating Pilates training for her students to help maintain the long lean lines of dancers.
